The Kindergarten years are a key time for developing life-long learners. Your kindergarten team is working to help ensure your child is:
- ready to learn. We are providing inviting play-based centres based on the curiosity, interests, needs, skills, and development of the children in our room;
- happily playing with others and learning to cooperate. We are supporting an environment where they are learning to self-regulate, express themselves and their own needs, as well as respond appropriately to the needs and ideas of others;
- beginning to take responsibility for themselves and others. We are guiding students to become more independent, to use and develop their own language and ability to share, and respond to the ideas of others.
As your child's teacher, I am constantly listening and observing, helping students to expand their learning and to make connections to what they already know.
It's important that everyone works together as a team - the teacher, early childhood educator (Mr. Tanner Frost) and parents. Please feel welcome to add your comments to the blog or to contact me directly at school. I am always happy to schedule a meeting.
